Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of construction projects from initial planning to final execution, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety and quality standards, addressing any issues proactively.
  • Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and making adjustments as necessary to avoid cost overruns.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best rates and terms while maintaining quality standards.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
  • Prepare detailed reports on project progress, including timelines, costs, and resource allocation, to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Facilitate communication between various teams, ensuring that information flows smoothly and effectively across all parties involved.
  • Recruit, train, and manage construction staff, fostering a collaborative work culture that emphasizes productivity and morale.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and new technologies to continuously improve project efficiency and effectiveness.
     

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is essential for foundational knowledge.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in construction management, showcasing a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) is highly regarded.
  • Experience in the specific type of construction (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial) relevant to the projects managed.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, with additional language proficiency being a significant advantage in diverse work environments.
  • Strong technical skills in construction software such as AutoCAD, Primavera, or MS Project to enhance project planning and execution.
  • Excellent leadership abilities to inspire and motivate teams, ensuring high levels of performance and collaboration.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills, ensuring every aspect of the project is meticulously planned and executed.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to navigate construction sites safely, demonstrating a commitment to personal and team safety.
